DRIP & IRISH Teams from NASC, PHECC Visits Pakistan

A)     Paid tribute to DR.ABDUL SATTAR EDHI & EDHI AMBULANCE 
INTERNATIONALLY ACCREDITED
“EDHI AMBULANCE SERVICES SCHOOL PAKISTAN”   LAUNCHED by DRIP & IRISH team ON 29TH NOVEMBER 2010 AFFILIATED WITH NATIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICES COLLEGE DUBLIN-IRELAND.
 It is a Joint project of DRIP-PHECC-NASC & EDHI Foundation
Inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr Abdul Sattar Edhi, Dr Geoff King, Director Pre-hospital /Hospital Emergency Care Council Ireland, Mr. Mac Hughes Director National Ambulance Services School Dublin, Dr Khurram Shahzad Gen Sec DRIP Ireland, DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer, Dr Mubashar Malik V.C.  University of Health Sciences Lahore, Col. Javed Iqbal Administrator UHS, Prof. Shaukat Mahmood, Registrar King Edward Medical University Lahore, Medical Core Punjab Rangers and members of the DRIP Faculty in Pakistan.
This is one of its own unique project in Southeast Asia. Edhi Ambulance Services is already recorded in Guinness Book Of World Record as the Largest Ambulance service run by a charity. Ambulance School courses will be accredited locally by the University of Health Sciences Lahore, Punjab.
CFR EFR INSTRUCTORS & PROVIDERS TRAININGS WILL BE PART OF MEDICAL AND ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES FACULTIES AS AGRRED BY UHS LAHORE. A DIRCTOR WILL BE ISSUED SOON
D.R.I.P.-NASC-PHECC recommended trainings will be mandatory part of 2011 final OSCE exam stations No participant will be allowed to get the degree until produce certificate of clearance of training in
 Basic Life Support courses recommended;
 Cardiac First Responder-CFR
 Emergency First Responder
 CFR-Advance
 Neonatal Resuscitation
 Paediatric Life Support
During this visit to Pakistan DRIP also conducted CFR , EFR Instructors & Providers training. Nearly 90 participants of different faculties from all Provinces of Pakistan and AJ&K were trained from 27th Nov till 3rd December 2010.
